Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the strategic insertion of thin needles at specific points on the body. The tradition of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) teaches that acupuncture can balance the flow of energy (known as chi) believed to flow along pathways called meridians. By placing needles into specific points along these meridians, the energy will flow more freely.

Acupuncture is used increasingly in the West to treat pain as well as support overall wellness and stress management. Acupuncture can be used at strategic points to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue.

Benefits of acupuncture:

  • Treat chronic pain
  • Reduce stress
  • Improve sleep
  • Help prepare the body for labor and delivery in a pregnant patient

Body and Soul Acupuncture

My interest in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine began 10 years ago with my own search for increased health and relief from chronic pain. After 3 years of traditional medical treatment with no pain relief, I began to seek alternative therapies, eventually finding acupuncture to be very effective in decreasing pain while increasing my function and mobility. After 35 years of working in the allied health care field at Mayo Clinic, I went back to school to learn acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I am devoted to the success and well-being of my patients while providing safe, effective, and compassionate care. My philosophy involves treating you (mind, body, and spirit) to the best of my ability. If I cannot help you within a series of treatments, I am happy to refer you to someone I feel might take a different approach or have a varying skill set. I also like to stress that I am not just an acupuncturist. I practice TCM with acupuncture being only one component. Other areas of TCM in my practice include: cupping, acupressure, Qigong, meditation and TCM food therapy.

“Jane is professional, knowledgeable and gentle with a very healing approach. I started with her about 2 years ago ... within the first 2 months the acupuncture treatments got rid of an ear ticking sound that I had been experiencing for about 6 months. Since then I decided to have regular monthly treatments which have helped in healing and managing various health issues for me. I look forward to her acupuncture treatments every month.”
“Jane Kelley is very professional, caring, honest, and compassionate. She truly cares about my well-being. Jane is truly knowledgeable. I trust Jane 100% and I highly recommend her.”

LMT, Esthetician, Doula

My goal as your massage therapist is to give you a comfortable place to breathe and feel confident while working out the many stresses life can bring us. I believe things should be accessible and offered as a whole package. I incorporate cupping, movement, gua sha, warm stones & aromas at your request and at no extra cost. Combining different therapeutic modalities with a targeted focus on specific areas fulfills my rhythm. I strive to work with you to set a plan, keep a comfortable pressure and hold space to relax the mind and body.

My experience in the wellness industry started with skincare and I became licensed as an esthetician in 2006. As time passed and the industry changed I  became focused on massage therapy and went back to school in 2021.  I have also completed my Doula training. A future goal of mine would be to incorporate massage and doula sessions as a combined offering.

Laughing with my husband and our two wild toddlers fills my heart. Spending time at the lake, gardening barefoot and living a simple slow paced lifestyle brings me peace.

“Faith has been a big help in managing my migraines for the past three years. As a migraine sufferer for 17 years, I rely on regular massage for relief. Cupping, combined with Faith's targeted massage work quickly loosen my tight muscles and have made a huge difference in my quality of life.”
Melanie S.
“I highly recommend Faith if you're looking for a great therapeutic massage! She tailors each session to your specific needs and you always leave feeling better than when you came in. I have been seeing Faith for several years and always look forward to getting on her schedule for my next appointment.”
Katie L.
“Faith has helped not only relieve my discomfort, but has also helped to increase the range of motion in my shoulder and arm after having two shoulder surgeries.”
Jeremy D.
“Faith provides the most amazing massage experience I have had. Not only is Faith knowledgeable and professional, she puts the needs, wants, and concerns of her clients first. I have tried many different treatments over the years to relieve stress and neck, shoulder, and back pain with minimal relief. Since seeing Faith, I have had a significant reduction in pain, stiffness, tension, and headaches. I have recommended her to my family, friends, and co-workers. My only regret is that I didn't find Faith sooner in my life!”
